Pamio can send your EDT lessons to the RSA for you, so you don't have to sign in to the RSA site and type each one. You connect once, on your phone. After that you log a lesson from the Schedule, usually as it finishes.
Before you start
- You need the Pamio app on your phone, up to date. Connecting and sending happen on the phone, not on a computer.
- You need your own RSA login — the one you use on the RSA's site for instructors.
- Each instructor connects for themselves. Your lessons are sent under your own RSA login.
Connect your RSA login
- In the app, open Settings → Account.
- Turn on Log with the RSA.
- Sign in with your RSA login.
When it works, the row reads Connected as your name and ADI number.
Your RSA login is stored on that phone only. It is never sent to Pamio. It works on one phone at a time — if you change phone, turn it on again on the new one.
Log a lesson
- Open the lesson on the Schedule. You can do this as soon as the lesson has started.
- Tap the Lesson row — it shows the EDT module, for example EDT 07 · Sharing the Road.
- Check the module. Pamio suggests the next one; tap a different one if that's not what you covered.
- Tap Send EDT 07 to the RSA.
Pamio signs in to the RSA on your phone, adds the lesson and checks it was accepted. You see On the RSA and the page closes by itself. It takes about ten seconds.
You can also log a lesson from the student's page, in their lesson history.
The learner's details
The RSA needs three things for each learner: their driver number, date of birth and logbook number.
You don't need to go to the student's page first. If any are missing, the Send page asks for them:
- Pamio looks the learner up on the RSA under your login. If it finds them, it shows their details under Found on the RSA — check the name and send.
- If it doesn't find them, type the details in the boxes on the same page.
Either way the details are saved on the student's profile, so you are only asked once.
Lessons that aren't sent
- Pre-test lessons are never sent. Only EDT lessons go to the RSA.
- If you already logged a lesson on the RSA yourself, pick the module and choose Already logged outside Pamio. Nothing is sent.
- If the learner has finished their EDT, choose ‹Name› has finished EDT. Their later lessons are treated as pre-test lessons.
- If Pamio finds the lesson is already on the RSA, it tells you and sends nothing.
Lessons you haven't logged yet
The Schedule shows a reminder when EDT lessons are waiting to be logged. Tap it to see the list, then tap a lesson to send it. The list only holds lessons since the day you connected.
If something goes wrong
- The RSA refused it. Pamio shows you the RSA's own words. It is usually a driver number, date of birth or logbook number that doesn't match. Correct the student's details and send it again.
- Couldn't reach the RSA site. The RSA's site is sometimes down. Nothing was sent — try again in a while.
- Needs reconnecting. The RSA stopped accepting your saved login, usually because you changed your password. Go to Settings → Account and reconnect.
- The RSA didn't answer as expected. We are told automatically. Check the lesson on the RSA before sending it again.
Turn it off
Turn Log with the RSA off in Settings → Account. Your RSA login is removed from the phone. Lessons already sent stay on the RSA.
